HAPPINESS

It’s important to remember that even reality is malleable.  It’s true that reality is fact reliant, but even facts are subject to perspective.  It’s a fact that I’m a 60 year old Polio survivor, about half crippled, pain plagued and poverty-stricken.  It’s equally true that my novel is available on the Internet, my wife and I have successfully raised two children, and I’m retired and living debt free on a little piece of paradise in the Ozarks.  Both scenarios are entirely factual, both are my reality. One is gratifying, the other, not so much. When I face each new day, my attitude depends largely on which reality I choose to reflect. It’s my choice.  Given that choice, I generally choose the one that makes me happy. SC
