Vibrant foliage,
Brilliant hues,
Sullen skies
Of china blues,
Favorite season,
Quickly past,
All too short,
And fading fast;
Here but brief,
But long recalled,
Leaves us reinforced,
Enthralled,
Celebrating what has been,
And braced against the winter wind.
