Memorial Day is a little like
Thanksgiving. It’s a day to appreciate,
celebrate and give thanks for all the special people that have brightened our
lives all through the years. It’s all
those relationships that make life worthwhile.
The Book says God is Love, and it’s through relationships with those we
love that God blesses us and allows us to be a blessing to others. Relationships are not always easy, and our
affection for others can be a slippery slope, but if we endeavor each day to
keep God at the center of all our relationships, then despite all our missteps
and life’s inherent grief, love prevails, relationships thrive and our memories
bring us joy. SC
