The more that foreign competitors like China, Russia, and other countries that are inclined to become aggressors, are faced with the crippling effects of the climate crisis and their unsustainable environmental policies, the more America looks like a juicy cherry ripe for the plucking. This is not the time to elect senile old men. Now more than ever, America needs the leaders of the future, people who believe in science, support our time-honored institutions, recognize the threat posed by global warming, value our longtime allies and commitments, and are dedicated to the great task before us, "that this great nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom-and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth."
