HAPPY MEMORIES
Regardless of my frame of
mind, winter never fails to bring on a bout of nostalgia. Winter almost always
makes me melancholy. The crisp rattle of the falling leaves and the threat of
months of winter, stir within me some primal instinct to brace myself against a
bitter chill. Trapped in the house to avoid the cold, I warm myself with a cup
of coffee and escape into my memories.
Next month, Lord willing, I’ll turn 67.
Suffice it to say, my memory is having issues. To protect my memories
from the ravages of time, I’ve collected my happiest memories in a book. Those
who’ve read my little book tell me I’ve preserved their memories too. It’s amazing how many memories we have in
common. If you’re looking for a happy diversion this winter, try refreshing
your memories in “Glad Days Long Ago”, available currently as a paperback, and
soon as a Kindle ebook. Treasure your memories, keep them fresh, and never take
them for granted. Even our memories can
fade with the harsh glare of time.
If you're looking for a gift that will make somebody smile, give them a gift that breathe new life into their happy memories.
