There appears to be some confusion about Truth. Having given it some thought, I propose there are two kinds.
God’s Truth may be misinterpreted, misapplied,
misconstrued, and misrepresented with impunity, until the Lord judges.
Truth, in the form of hard, cold verifiable facts,
falls under the jurisdiction of our judicial system. There’s very little
impunity there. Those who misrepresent it face prosecution.

We are in the midst of
an election which will determine the future of Democracy in this country. While
I hesitate to cause hard feelings and loose friends, this is not the time to be
silent. I will post my concerns and share my views. My posts may achieve little,
but my conscience will be clear. If the alt-right seizes power in this country,
America as we know it will cease to exist. The alternative will be unchristian,
unamerican, and unthinkable. Wake up America, before it's too late. SC
Back in the 1950s and
‘60s, when I was growing up, America was much like an oil painting; the colors
were bright and distinctive, the lines clear and crisp; there was a place for
everything, and everything was in its place. I grew up in that America. I knew
my place. I accepted my role. I was comfortable
Since that time, the
medium has changed. America has become much more like a masterful watercolor. Unlike
the past’s ridged image of static, impervious oils, our colors have merged and
blended; our lines have grown supple and soft; the light is bright, and the contours
have softened through time.
For me, this has required an adjustment. I continue to adjust. Time is a masterful artist. Its futile to resist the brushstrokes of time. I accept this. I sit back and smell the roses and relax. I suggest you do likewise. SC
I want you to imagine America without taxes, Social Security, Medicare, affordable health care, worker’s protection, environmental protection, Public Schools, civil rights, coordination between states, repairs to our infrastructure, a reliable electrical grid, road and freeway repairs, or a functioning democracy. Its not a pretty picture. It’s a scene of incomprehensible suffering and deprivation of biblical proportions. It’s terrifying. But it’s absolutely essential that you think about it. Then go vote.
This election and the next should not be about whether or not President Biden is an old man. Mr. Biden has devoted his entire life to public service. He is an old man, and he will eventually pass the torch to the next generation. It should not be about whether or not our economy is currently suffering the effects of inflation. Like all others before it, this bout of inflation will eventually run its course, and someone one claim credit. This election is about something much more important and longlisting. It should be painfully obvious to anyone with a sound mind that when you find yourself on the same side as the proud boys, the kkk, Nazis, bigots, racists, and violent insurrectionists, you’re on the wrong side.
